Job Summary
The Alliance Sales Manager is responsible for management of multiple multi-million-dollar contracts with high volume transactions. This is a highly visible role with a focus on new sales with Southern California Edison. This person should have a strong finance background and/or professional project management certification. In addition, a proven track record in: Handling contracts, negotiations, complex project planning, problem solving, and consultative sales would be required. This person interfaces directly with customers on a regular basis and should be highly organized and analytical. Strong communications skills, a knack for fostering relationships, and deep product and competitor knowledge are hallmarks of this role. Overall, this role will be charged with leading the sales effort through: Managing existing accounts, monitoring the results, quantifying the successes and shortfalls, making suggestions and adjustments as needed, and determining the baseline strategies to be employed. Skills in selling strategic alliances on a corporate level will be an essential component of the role. The successful individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. This role is a remote position, candidate must reside in California to be eligible for this position.

Job Functions
New Business Development

  • Develop strong strategic relationships with decision makers at existing and target customers to facilitate the expansion of existing contracts and creation of new business contracts; actively solicit additional business.
  • Lead onsite customer meetings and provide suggestions to customers for new and/or additional Agile services.
  • Responsible for leading Agile’s response to formal proposal requests, including delegation of work, write proposal content, and on time submittal.
  • Collaborate with Agile management to determine and accurately represent Agile’s capabilities for each new proposal and contract and to determine pricing and mark up for all proposals.
  • Maintain sales pipeline within Sales Force
  • Responsible for process development and implementation to service newly awarded contracts

Contract Management_*

  • Ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain profitability of the account and make recommendations to management as needed to increase profitability.
  • Ensure the entire procurement to pay process is working and follow best practices.
  • Manage contract expiration and renewal processes to ensure maximum business potential is reached and retained.
  • Make recommendations to management as needed to mitigate risk, ensure contractual compliance and continuity of supply.
  • Lead recurring business reviews with customers to share key performance indicators, ensure customer satisfaction, and keep engagements on schedule.
  • Prepare contract forecast semi-annually and monitor the budget to actual monthly.
  • Monitor existing pricing and price change eligibility and communicate/negotiate new pricing with customers.

Requirements*

  • A minimum of five years’ account management and sales experience
  • Experienced track record selling electrical transmission and distribution services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or another applicable field
  • Experience with contract development, negotiations, and management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficient MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Must be able to travel 20%
  • Excellent interpersonal skills reflected in the ability to be patient and outgoing with people.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, think strategically, problem solve and collaborate with team members.
  • Highly motivated, results focused and able to act with a high sense of urgency.
  • Advanced business acumen including a strong understanding of financial statements, risk mitigation and project management.
